Ms. Christian has commendable experience from employment in the public and private sectors. She worked as a public servant for over 18 years in various entities, including the Department of Education Services, ship registration and statutory compliance in shipping at the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands, and several years in the financial sector.

Ms. Christian enhanced her dynamic qualifications and experience with professional development courses that include a Certificate as an Internal Auditor from BSI (UK), a Diploma in Maritime Leadership and Management (Kent College, UK), credited with Best Student recognition, TCM Accredited Investigator, and Qualified Mediator. She is acutely aware of the importance of efficient management by entities responsible for implementing legal processes and procedures, to ensure legal, fair and impartial treatment. As such, she welcomes the opportunity to continue serving her community as an Investigator in the Office of the Ombudsman.

The diversity of experiences includes studying overseas in various countries. Her first degree was a BA in Economics from Brock University in Ontario, Canada, followed by a Diploma in Education from the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Jamaica, which qualified her as a Business Studies teacher. Subsequently, she embarked on a new career and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree (Hons 2:1) from the Truman Bodden Law School and a Master's in Maritime Law (University of Southampton, England).

Ms. Christian is also an Attorney who was called to the Cayman Islands Bar in 2013.
